Wedding Typography

Typography is a great way to add a stylish edge to your wedding. I particularly like this table display of font wrapped luminaries above. The red and black and the variety of fonts all add an eclectic touch.

It would be nice to carry that through to on the invitations, programs, etc.

Peonies on display

I would love to have peonies for my wedding. The peony table setting above looks so regal. They're so huge that just that one flower is enough. The cake featured below is pretty eye catching as well.

Happy 2009!

I love the idea of using sparklers for the grand exit at the end of the reception. Being that it's New Year's Eve, it feels quite appropo.

We hope you all have a happy, loving 2009!

awwww....

Originally I thought we'd go without a cake topper, but I'm in love with these little doves. So adorable!

Available for sale from Bliss Weddings Market.

Scottadito in Park Slope

We're considering a place called Scottadito here in Brooklyn for the wedding. It's actually an organic italian restaurant, and their food is great.

They host events in the cellar (shown above), and I think the ambiance of that would really set the right tone for the reception! Everything is wood-lined, and on the upper level, they have a great fireplace and a garden. Best of all is that their prices are quite affordable, and I love the location just off of 7th Avenue (on Union) in Park Slope.

We still have to meet with them to see if it'll work as a reception space, but it's our top choice so far. Fingers crossed!

Lemonheads

If I do go with a yellow theme, particulary with any type of retro feel, I think it'd be really fun to do lemonheads as favors!
