Etsy registries?

I *really* wish Etsy did registries. Wedding registries of course or even baby registries. How perfect would that be!?

I wish it so much in fact that I contacted their customer service to request it and was told it's one of the most popular requests they get. However, it's not available yet, and they wouldn't really commit on offering it. But I'm guessing it's in the works...

They do have a favorites feature but it's not the same as a registry.

If I could have an Etsy registry, it would definitely including this NY Love print I featured previously. It's adorable but even more perfect since it includes the Brooklyn Bridge where Alex and I got engaged.

The Courthouse Dress

Love this much-ruffled number!

It's actually called the "Courthouse" and would be perfect for just such an occasion or any other casual wedding.

Available for a steal from Kate Towers on Etsy.

Sugared lemon handbags

Have been looking for handbags and these are wonderful, particularly for my bridesmaids. The subtle contrast of the silver fabric and the yellow flower is just lovely.

Have to buy the dresses first though before I can decide if they'll go.

Available from Eclu on Etsy.

A new take on the birdcage veil

Maybe not new, but definitely different from what I've been looking at. I love the clip in the center.

Available on Etsy from Hems and Bustles.

Divine Hair Comb

This hair comb is simply grand and ornate. I'm surprised how much I like it. Might be a bit out of my budget. I also like the bird cage veils so not sure that these would go together, but I love it none-the-less!

Available from EMbridal on Etsy.

Save the Date

We're starting to put together our save the date cards. This one above is a huge inspiration. But the final decision isn't made yet!

Love the signature for the couple's names.

Availabe from Claire Eye Design on Etsy.

Cloud Nine Bolero from the English Department

I'm in love with this luminscent bolero! I'd have to see if I can pull it off however.

It's made of silk organza and was recently featured on the cover of Portland Bride & Groom magazine.

Available from the English Department on Etsy.

Forever

I posted this on my blog Dabble a while back, but in searching for some invitation options, I ran across it again tonight. These are prints rather than cards or invitations however.

Some Etsy artists take custom requests. I think it'd be really fun to do a print with one of the quotes I've posted previously.

But I also think that art work is a great gift for a wedding. Unique and memorable.
Prints available from Amelia Mae on Etsy.

Vintage Winter Capelet

It would be easy enough to recreate the pattern of this vintage capelet. Maybe even adding a more elaborate closure.

Beaded Corsage

This corsage really stands out to me because of the base. It's wrapped in a silver cord with silver beads.

Originally, before I saw a close up on Emily K's Etsy store, I thought it was lace, which would be another interesting option.

This makes me think I might want to try a subtle beaded base on the corsages and boutonnieres for our wedding party-- since i'll be making the arrangements myself anyhow.

Dove ornaments

Love the idea of these doves as favors.

But instead of just one name, it'd say "Alex + Heather."
And if we could make it fit, our wedding date.

Seeking creative ideas!

I just found these adorable tickets on etsy, so I'm looking for ideas on how I can incorporate them into the wedding? Thoughts?

Available from School Locker on Etsy.

Etsy's handmade wedding series

I've just discovered that Etsy has a series of posts on handmade wedding ideas. The post that really grabbed me was a piece on hair accessories. I love the pearl pin in her hair above -- plus it would be easy enough to make!

Metallic Jeweled Peony Pin

I've been quite smitten with flower pins, accessories and embellishments lately. This one is absolutely my favorite so far. I just have to figure out how I can work it into the wedding...

The pin is available from Brass Paperclip on Etsy.

Letterpress invitations

If there's one thing I might like to splurge on wedding-wise (beyond the honeymoon), it wouldn't be the flowers or the dress, it would definitely be letterpress invitations.

Given that I do design work, I could easily whip up my own invites, so I've been leaning toward that. However, I can't do my own letterpress -- or at least I haven't figured it out yet -- given the equipment involved. Open to suggestions from you guys. I should see if Etsy offers classes.

Until I do figure it out, I'll have my eye on this invitation above from Smock.

NY Love Gocco Print

Not surprisingly, I'm completely charmed by this New York Love Gocco Print from Art Shark Designs on Etsy.
